This movie is based on a true story. The story came from an Iranian village. A journalist's car breaks down, and he's stranded in the village. Zahra approached the journalist to tell him of the horrifying event that took place just yesterday. Ali was Soraya's husband. He wanted to break up with Soraya to marry another girl. Soraya, a mother of two daughters and two sons, was accused of being unfaithful to Ali. The mullah and Ali charged her with adultery. She was stoned to death. The journalist taped what Zahra said, from beginning to end. The mullah tries to stop the journalist, by taking away all his possessions. However, as the journalist was leaving, Zahra appears with the real tape. The journalist sped away, and Zahra exclaims that the world will now hear what took place here.
Naturally, I was shocked to see that brutal acts of execution still exists in some parts of this world. I've heard about it on the news. However, up until now, I had no idea stoning was this terrifying.
